The Carson girls varsity basketball team lost 63-45 to Valley View on Monday during the West Coast Holiday Festival in Los Angeles.

The family loved to farm and took in orphaned Jewish children into their jewish family. The zadock twins of Abraham and Rebekah two children whom lost their family to yellow fever & two others the Eubanks children became an addition to Columbus’s household as well, giving them the wheeler name.

Thomas “Tom” Michael Yturbide passed away November 14, 2013, just weeks before his 78th birthday, with his wife by his side. A first generation Spanish Basque American, Tom was born December 2, 1935 at a mid-wife’s home near Livermore, California. At age 4, Tom’s family moved to the Fly Ranch in Gerlach, Nevada where his love and passion for everything outdoors took root. Schooled early in raising sheep and living off the land, Tom learned the value of hard work, a Dutch oven, and a swimming hole at the end of the day. A cowboy at heart, Tom loved exploring hard to get to places and hunting with family and friends. For Tom, there was always something new just one ridgeline away.
