Man sought in Gardnerville attempted store robbery

Authorities are looking for a man who tried to rob Lucky Liquor in Gardnerville on Thursday night.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office:

The man entered the store about 8:30 p.m. wearing a red bandana and wielding a semi-automatic pistol, demanding money. The clerk hit the alarm button, and the man fled after grabbing a bottle of liquor.

The man is described as Hispanic, 30-35 years old, 6 feet tall and weighing 250 pounds. He last was seen wearing a black jacket with a hood and black shorts.

The clerk said the man ran east with a second man, whom he couldn’t describe.
