Joe Santoro: LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan debate is boring

Another NBA Finals involving LeBron James. Another Michael Jordan-LeBron James discussion. Stop it. Stop asking a question that has no real answer. The debate about which player is the best in NBA history is tired, boring and silly. Jordan and James are different types of players in vastly different NBA eras. They are both great in their own way. It’s just a matter of preference. But just ask yourself one question. Game tied. 10 seconds left. NBA Finals Game 7. Who do you want taking that last shot? Jordan or James? Even James would want Jordan to take that last shot and would pass him the ball.

Hamilton has six more chances this season to set a new win record, and odds are he’ll do it handily. The Eifel Grand Prix was also remarkable for cancellation of Friday practice due to fog and four power unit failures in the race.

Roger Diez: Bad weekend for fastest, strongest teams

There’s an old Bible quote from Ecclesiastes, “The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong.” That saying was certainly appropriate last weekend at both the Russian Grand Prix in Sochi and the South Point 400 in Las Vegas. In neither case did the fastest nor strongest win, due to a stewards’ decision in the former case and an untimely caution flag in the latter.
