The unbeaten 10-0, No. 7-ranked Wolf Pack, it seems, can’t go anywhere in public without meeting their fans. “I give a lot of credit to our fans who have been traveling to see us play, making us feel second to none on the road,” the senior said this week as the Pack prepared to play South Dakota State on Saturday at Lawlor Events Center. “We’re in the airports and we have a lot of fans cheering us on when we’re walking to the gate or getting off a plane. It’s crazy how our fan base is expanding.”

PHOENIX — Nevada had a short turnaround against a scrappy team with a loud fan base, even in what was technically a neutral-site game. The Wolf Pack stumbled out of the gate, had a hard time finding enough of an offensive rhythm to pull away.

The weatherman tells us there may be more snow on the valley floor this coming week, so we all need to pay a little bit more attention to our driving. The Sierra Lutheran boys basketball team rolled to a 67-19 win over Smith Valley on Tuesday. The Falcons led 16-6 after one quarter, 38-10 at halftime and 57-19 after three quarters before holding the Bulldogs scoreless in the fourth quarter.
