It snowed down to around 6,000 feet last night, but all we had in the Valley was rain. Fish Springs received .21 inches. Today's forecast will be cool and mostly sunny today with a high temperature forecast to hit 46 degrees. Expect southwest winds 5-15 mph gusting to 20 mph.

A 23-year-old Gardnerville Ranchos man, who was convicted Oct. 6 of a property damage charge by a Douglas County jury, faces sentencing this morning in Douglas County District Court. Todd Holdren was acquitted of a charge of felony home invasion, which could have carried a 10-year sentence. Instead Judge Michael Gibbons will decide if Holdren will spend 6 months or a year in jail.

A 19-year-old woman is scheduled to be sentenced today in connection with a theft in connection with an arrest on May 21. Jessica Lynn Amerson is scheduled to appear in Douglas County District Court this morning. The man she was arrested with, 19-year-old Benjamin A. Cecchettini, was sent to a regimental bootcamp program. His sentencing was delayed pending the completion of the program.
