The R-C Morning Report

Convicted child pornographer John M. Parks is scheduled to return to court this morning for a disposition of his probation violation. There've been a couple of delays in this case, so I'm not giving odds he'll actually be in court today. Parks, 55, admitted in May that he had contact with the mother of a girl he was accused of molesting. He was never convicted of that charge but was convicted of having hundreds of pieces of child pornography.

A Gardnerville Ranchos man who broke into a neighbor's house, frightening a 10-year-old boy, is scheduled to be arraigned in district court this morning. Todd Patrick Holdren was arrested May 14 after he allegedly kicked the door open. The boy had already called 911.

Temperatures are forecast to peak today with a high of 85 degrees under sunny skies. A light breeze will pick up this afternoon. Tuesday and Wednesday will be much windier, bring the high temperature down into the 60s according to the National Weather Service.
