EDITOR:
The two main qualifications I look for in a candidate for Douglas County Clerk-Treasurer are appropriate professional certification and experience. Ted Thran has both, which is why I'm supporting him. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and has served in the Douglas County Clerk-Treasurer's office for the past 11 years. He has served in all the main departments within that office, so he has a solid working relationship with all the required duties.
What I don't look for in a clerk-treasurer is a politician or a lobbyist. Ted Thran is neither - he is a well-qualified professional. He executes the duties of his office with courtesy, efficiency, balance and professionalism. I urge all residents to vote for Ted Thran in the June primary.
