Autism Resource fair is April 15

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office wrapped a vehicle with colored puzzle pieces as an inviting way for children and adults with autism to meet deputies in a casual setting.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office wrapped a vehicle with colored puzzle pieces as an inviting way for children and adults with autism to meet deputies in a casual setting.

An Autism & IDD Resource Fair is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 15, CVIC Hall, 1604 Esmeralda Ave., Minden. 

Sponsored by the Family Support Council, the fair is for families, children and transitioning adults with developmental disabilities. 

It’s an opportunity to learn about programs, services and resources available in the community.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Autism Alert Vehicle will be there. 

Council members, DD Partners, service providers or policy members who want to attend should contact the council.
