Past performance is the best indicator of future success. Ted Thran has a proven record of leadership and innovation in the Douglas County Clerk-Treasurer's office, first as an assistant to the previous clerk-treasurer and now in his own right.
I've dealt with this office many times over the past few years. It has always been polite, professional, efficient and effective. Ted Thran is responsible for much of that excellent performance.
Among Ted's recent innovations was to put the entire packet for each county commission meeting online, so that if you're curious about an item on the agenda you can easily access the background material to learn more.
This is typical of his efforts on our behalf.
It makes no sense to change leadership of a government agency that is performing well. Ted Thran should be returned as Douglas County clerk-treasurer.
