The R-C Morning Report

The Douglas County Board of Equalization continues its work 9:30 a.m. today starting with Syncon's The Springs, then the La Costa and Montera subdivisions. They wrap up today with a collection of requests from Clear Creek Ranch LLC. The board meets at the Douglas County Administrative Building, 1616 Eighth St.

Whatever moisture was in the forecast has evaporated and it looks like we're going to have a nice President's Day weekend. Today's forecast calls for a slight chance of sprinkles or flurries before 7 a.m. with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 60. There are road controls on Highway 28 from Spooner junction north.

Federal, state and county offices will be closed for the Monday holiday, so plan accordingly. Also if you plan to go to the DMV on Saturday, they won't be doing licenses or IDs due to a planned closure by the feds. I didn't know the DMV was open on Saturday, but apparently there's an office in Reno.
