The R-C Morning Report

Douglas County School Board trustees will spend the first day of a two-day session at Genoa Lakes starting 3 p.m. today. Besides public comment, the agenda consists of three things, board procedures, communications and setting goals. They meet again 8 a.m. Friday for their strategic planning session.

We're supposed to have road construction in the northbound lanes of Highway 395 between Gardnerville and Buckeye Road from 9 p.m. tonight to 5:30 a.m. on Friday. Utility work will continue on Foothill Road between Muller Lane and Genoa 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There isn't much of a break before more wet weather rolls into Western Nevada. On Friday night there's a chance of rain with the possibility of snow above 5100 feet on Saturday.

OK, let's try this again. The weather today is supposed to be mostly sunny with a high of 41 degrees and a light wind of 5 mph. That it's actually 23 degrees outside and I can see the sky lightening in the east are two very good signs the forecast might be close to reality.
