Valley artist wins award

Carson Valley artist Don Fotine recently won Best of Show at the third annual Latimer Art Club Miniature Painting Show.

Fotine's artwork is shown through Saturday at the "Beneath Nevada Skies" exhibit at the Nevada Historical Society, 1650 N. Virginia St., Reno.

He also won second place in the Nevada Duck Stamp Art Contest sponsored by the Nevada Department of Wildlife. View stamps at NDOW.org
