Main Street Gardnerville to host wine walks

Main Street Gardnerville will be hosting Thirsty Third Thursday Wine Walks beginning May 21 and continuing every third Thursday of the month through September 17, from 4 to 7 p.m., in the downtown Gardnerville Main Street district.

To participate, wine walkers will need to purchase $10 wrist bands and a $5 commemorative wine glass. The wine glass can be used each month but a new wrist band will need to be purchased at each Thirsty Third Thursday event.

Coupons with a $5 discount on the wrist bands will be available in advance at participating businesses for a limited time, beginning May 12. A complete list of participating businesses can be found at www.mainstreetgardnerville.org.

Check in at the Main Street Gardnerville registration booth to get started on May 21, between 4 and 7 p.m. The booth will be set up on the lawn of the Carson Valley Museum. You must have a photo ID with proof of age in order to take part in this event. Live music from Hick'ry Switch will be at the Carson Valley Museum. Participants can win a $100 gift certificate to a Main Street Gardnerville business.
