AA Fellowship

The Minden-Gardnerville Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous holds more than 30 meetings a week at 1276 Pit Road, Unit 8, in the Gardnerville Ranchos. Newcomers meeting 6 p.m. every Saturday. Information, 265-4460.


Bridge group

A bridge group meets noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane in Gardnerville. New players and alternates are invited to join the group. For information or to be added to alternate list, contact the senior center, 783-6455.


Adventure Camp

Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department offers Adventure Camp for kindergarten to sixth-grade students beginning March 27. Camp includes field trips to Carson Lane Bowling, arts and crafts, group games and a snack.

Camp is 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Jacks Valley and Meneley elementary schools. Cost for the day is $22. Spaces are limited and registration is required. Information, 782-9828.


Art reception

Meet artisans of pottery, jewelry, glass and wearable art and celebrate the first anniversary of Felix Pottery & Artisans Shoppe, 4-7 p.m. March 27. Many of the artists will be at the anniversary reception to discuss their work. Light refreshments will be served. Parking available behind the gallery and across the street in the dirt lot next to Battle Born Wine.

Bingo Knights

The Knights of Columbus host bingo on March 27. Doors open at 6 p.m., play starts at 7 p.m. at St. Gall Catholic Church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.

Blackout bonus is $1,199. Warm-up games with $50 jackpots, 10 regular games with $100 jackpots, and a $150 consolation blackout. Price is $20 per 14 game packet. Raffle prizes. Food and drinks available for purchase. Knights provide popcorn, coffee and snacks. Knights of Columbus bingo is on the first and fourth Fridays of the month. Information, Chuck Ripoli, 265-6132.


Band Bingo

The Bingo for Band fundraiser for the Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School band and choir is 6-8 p.m. March 27 at the school, 701 Long Valley Road in the Gardnerville Ranchos.

Help the band and choir earn money to go to the Music in the Parks competition in Vallejo in May. Cash and prizes, 25 cents per game. Concessions for sale during the event. Children must be accompanied by an adult.


Cow pasture golf

The Antelope Valley Lions Club's ninth annual Cow Pasture Golf Tournament is April 4. Sign-up is 8-9 a.m. at Baldo Giorgi ranch, a mile east of Highway 395 on Topaz Lane in Topaz, Calif.

Cost is $25 per person or $15 for barbecue ribs or chicken lunch only.
