The Douglas County Animal Shelter is open for business again on Mondays.
Shelter hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, staffed by volunteers for adoptions only.
The shelter is at 921 Dump Road, Gardnerville, across from the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
