Pet food supply short, donations sought

Canned dog food is in short supply at the Douglas County Animal Shelter, prompting a call for donations from the Douglas Animal Welfare Group.

Food donations can be dropped by the shelter during business hours, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends, 921 Pine Nut Road, south of Gardnerville.
