DAWG event Saturday

A low-cost microchip identification and vaccination clinic sponsored by Douglas Animal Welfare Group and the Douglas County Animal Shelter is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the shelter on Dump Road.

Event veterinarians are Drs. Linda Miner and Lesli Hewitt. Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers.

The cost of the Avid Microchip, including registration, is $30. The chip could help a lost pet be returned to the owner. Information at dawgrescue.com or 267-7325.

For vaccination information and cost, call Hewitt's office at 267-4888, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
