Thanks for help with summer reading

On behalf of the Douglas County Public Library Foundation, I wish to extend thanks to our many supporters. Summer Reading Kickoff 2009 included a Scholastic Book Fair, a Nature's Critters show, an ice cream social and raffle.

Supporters of this event include the Friends of the Douglas County Library, Bank of America, Casino Fandango, Dayton Valley Golf and Country Club, Empire Ranch Golf Course, Fresh Ideas, Harrah's/Harveys, John Ascuaga's Nugget, Kelly Steam Carpet Clean, Nancy Bryant, Sharkey's Casino, Sorensen's Resort, Tahoe Ridge Winery, Kirkwood Mountain Resort, Model Dairy, Linda Wilson, Pedro Leon, Atlantis Hotel & Casino, Jay Aldrich Photography, and Starbucks Roasting Plant and Distribution Center.

The grand prize was a hand-crafted quilt made by the members of the Carson Valley Quilt Guild.

The generosity of these donors enables the library foundation to support library services and programs. Many thanks to a great community.
