Pinon Hills Elementary School parents will get a chance to discuss the school's overcrowding with Douglas County School Board members this afternoon during the board's regular meeting at Douglas High School. The school board starts meeting at 3:30 p.m. Pinon Hills is on for 6:05 p.m.

A man who allegedly prepared a contract with a 17-year-old trading nude videos for the use of a car is scheduled to appear in Douglas County District Court this morning. Troy Marvin Creeks, 42, is expected to plead guilty to attempted use of a minor as a subject of a sexual portrayal in a performance. Creeks expressed reluctance in making the agreement, under which the prosecution won't ask for more than 10 years in prison when he waived his preliminary hearing in May.

It will be breezy, but without the chance of thunderstorms for the first time in weeks. The wind will be blowing 5-15 mph with gusts of up to 25 mph through the day with a high of 75 degrees. Expect the wind gusts to pick up a bit tonight, to 30 mph. Our respite from the storms will be brief, with showers back in the forecast for Wednesday.
