Enrollment open for Kid's Club

Enrollment is open for the Kid's Club program for the 2009-10 school year offered through the Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department. Kid's Club is a before- and after-school program for kindergarten through sixth-grade students at Douglas County elementary schools.

Kid's Club offers children the opportunity to socialize with friends and enjoy leisure activities in a safe and secure environment. Daily activities include homework assistance, art and crafts projects, board games, active group games, outdoor play and a daily snack.

Parents and authorized individuals are required to escort their child into Kid's Club every morning to sign them in and out in the afternoons to ensure the safety of the children.

Kid's Club is operated from 7-8:45 a.m. and 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Cost is $2.50 per day for the morning program and $5 per day for the afternoon program. Fees are payable per month according to the number of days of school each month. Register at the Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department, 1327 Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville.
