Registration open for Kid's Club program

Staff Reports

Kid's Club registration is open for the Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department's 2010-11 Kid's Club before and after-school program in Douglas County elementary schools for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Kid's Club offers children the opportunity to socialize with friends and enjoy leisure activities in a safe and secure environment. Daily activities include homework assistance, arts and craft projects, board games, active group games, outdoor play and a daily snack.

Parents are required to complete a form at time of registration that includes emergency information, a discipline policy and a list of who may pick up their child each day. Parents and authorized individuals are required to escort their child into Kid's Club every morning to sign them in and out in the afternoons to ensure the safety of the children.

Kid's Club is operated 7-8:45 a.m. and 3-6 p.m. Cost is $2.50 per day for the morning program and $5 per day for the afternoon program. Fees are payable per month according to the number of days of school each month. Enrollment is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Early enrollment is recommended.
