The R-C Morning Report

Former R-C writer Merrie Leininger was in Washington D.C. for the inauguration on Tuesday. She sent Sheila Gardner some pictures. Sheila said Merrie will remember two things about the day: "She remembers two things: A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and being out in the cold for seven hours."

Indian Hills board members will discuss contracting out sewer and water operations and what savings there might be to the district at their regular meeting tonight. Board chairwoman Dianne Humble brought the issue to the board at a workshop last week. Also on tonight's agenda is a proposal to bill homeowners rather than tenants for water and sewer and a request to continue a forensic accounting study performed last year. Indian Hills trustees meet at their James Lee Park offices at 6 p.m.

The weather graphics for the next five days have gone from all suns to all rain. Hopefully, the weather will do something similar. The forecast is for a chance of isolated showers today after 10 a.m. Expect more showers tonight and on Thursday. The snow level is way up there, so don't count on seeing any snow flakes. At least the low temperature has warmed up out of the teens. It's 25 degrees in Minden today.
