Wildhorse announces auditions for Aladdin, Spelling Bee

'Aladdin, Jr.'

Actors, singers, and dancers ages 5-16 wanted to audition for Wild Horse Children's Theater production of Disney's "Aladdin, Jr." at 4 p.m. Jan. 14 and 10 a.m. Jan. 16 at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 N. Carson St., Carson City. 

Songs from the Academy Award-winning film include "A Whole New World," "Friend Like Me," and "Prince Ali" sung by Aladdin, Jasmine, and the Genie.

Come prepared with a song of one minute with musical accompaniment on CD or iPod with no background tracks. A short movement piece will be taught at auditions. Bring appropriate shoes and wear comfortable clothes.

The program is designed to enhance skills through interaction with professional directors, musical directors, and choreographers.

'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee'

Wild Horse Productions announces auditions for "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" at 1 p.m. Jan. 23 and 24 the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 N. Carson St., Carson City. Roles are available for men and women ages 20-50 who are strong singers who act. The Tony Award-winning musical comedy will be directed by Jeffrey Scott. Show dates are weekends, April 9-24.

Actors should be at least 20 years old to audition for the roles of five men and four women.

Prepare a song of one minute or less. Bring sheet music or accompaniment on CD or iPod. Readings from the script will be done. Information, 443-5974 or jeffrey@wildhorsetheater.com
