Mu Masters conduct degree rituals

Members of the Mu Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will be conducting two degree rituals at their next gathering on Dec. 4. The festive evening will be held at the Gardnerville home of Lucy Corliss.

Six members will be receiving their Masters Degree and, one member, an Exemplar Degree. The new Masters' members are Joanell Cloar, Nancy Sheets and Charlene Chambers of Minden; Paula Corley and Barbara Yocum of Gardnerville and Bonnie Jones of Stateline. Lucy Corliss will receive her Exemplar Degree. Virginia King, Rita Lovelady and Lela Ott will be officiating for the Masters Degree and Bonnie Jones will officiate for the Exemplar Degree.

At a recent meeting, the chapter welcomed Pam Martin of Gardnerville into the chapter. During this sorority year, Mu Master officially became a "Masters" Chapter elevating them from Laureate status. Most members are at the Masters level.

Mu Master members will be joining the Carson City Beta Sigma Phi Council at their Dec. 20 Christmas party at the Carson Nugget and looking toward the council's annual Valentine luncheon and Founder's Day events.
