The month of April brought in many donations from the Carson Valley community. The Carson Valley Community Food Closet is a supplemental source of food goods to qualified individuals and families in need residing in Douglas County. We wish to express appreciation to all who donated and to the volunteers who helped distribute food.
The following donations were received (in pounds): Douglas County Public Library (60), Ladies Giving Back (222), Pinenut Christian School (70), Betty and Sal Salinas (85), Pinon Hills Elementary Movie Night (186), Leona (4), Pat Cardinal (23), Michael Smith (23), Dana Culver (30), St. Gall Catholic Church (811), Coventry Cross Episcopal Church (39), Tahoe Community Church (409), Curves of Minden-Gardnerville (290), Curves on Mica Drive (121), Sertoma (40) and Kirkwood (30).
Dr. Eric Park donated toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss (7). Regular grocery contributors: Raley's, Scolari's, Smith's, Costco, Trader Joe's, Starbucks of Minden and Gardnerville, Pony Espresso, Russell's Mercantile, Shell Country Store, Vanity Bakery and the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
