Following is a summary of Northern Region high school playoff action involving area teams:


FOOTBALL

Class 5A-Division III

Douglas: No. 1 seed; first-round bye.

Carson: No. 4 seed; hosted No. 5 North Valleys on Thursday night.


Class 2A

Dayton: Not eligible for postseason; played the fall as an independent.

Sierra Lutheran: Not eligible for postseason; played the fall as an independent.


VOLLEYBALL

Class 5A

Carson: Secured No. 4 seed; will host No. 5 McQueen on Monday at 6 p.m.

Douglas: No postseason.


Class 3A

Dayton: No postseason.


Class 2A

Sierra Lutheran: No postseason.


BOYS SOCCER

Class 5A

Carson: Locked up top-two seed in Sierra League; will host home playoff game Monday at 6 p.m.

Douglas: No postseason.


Class 3A

Dayton: No postseason.


GIRLS SOCCER

Class 4A

Douglas: Qualified for postseason; will play on the road Tuesday.
