The new office of The Record-Courier opened on Feb. 1, 2023.

The (Douglas County) Record-Courier opens in its new Minden offices today in the Garden Center, 1624 10th St. Unit 3.

“As much as we enjoyed our Gardnerville office and our neighbors, it feels good to move to Minden and be a part of this area while still keeping focus on all the happenings in Douglas County,” said Associate Publisher Tara Addeo. “The new loca-tion although much smaller, is convenient and allows customers to find us easily”

The R-C will continue to be published twice a week with the Saturday section appearing inside the Nevada Appeal.

“With opening back up to the public, we can assist the community with several different services face to face and that is something we enjoy doing,” Addeo said.

The office will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, depending on what news is afoot.

You can reach The R-C by calling 775-782-5122 and leaving a message or by emailing editor@recordcourier.com

This is the third move in 124 years for the venerable Douglas County publication and the first time it will be published out of Minden, ever.

The original Gardnerville home of The Courier, built in 1899, still stands on Eddy Street.

The R-C moved to The Record-Courier Center in 1996 before closing its doors on Nov. 30.
