A fundraiser for a Gardnerville man killed last week in a Minden motorcycle crash has already raised more money than was asked.

On Tuesday, the Nevada Highway Patrol identified Logan Scott Ambrose, 28, as the deceased in the May 24 collision.

Ambrose was riding a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle south on Bently Parkway near Orchard Road 8:25 p.m. when it left the roadway and hit two trees.

Ambrose was pronounced dead at the scene.

Donations are being sought to help pay for funeral expenses and family needs.

According to the GoFundMe, the fundraiser raised $3,450 of the $3,000 sought over four days.

The crash is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol Division’s Norther Command Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team.

Anyone with information is asked to email the team at ncwmirt@dps.state.nv.us and refer to case No. 220501708.

Ambrose was the fifth person to die on Douglas County highways since April 23.
