Nine Gardnerville Ranchos property owners will be talking to the general improvement board tonight about trees and plants they say have been affected by the district's use of a herbicide. The district board members meet 6 p.m. tonight at 931 Mitch Drive. Also on the agenda is a discussion of a grant to build the Mitch pond and an agreement with the school district for a parking lot across the street from Meneley Elementary.

Work to make Minden the county's main water source in Carson Valley continues 5:30 p.m. tonight when Minden Town Board members meet to discuss an agreement with Douglas County to wholesale water to Ruhenstroth and the Fairgrounds. A pipeline between the two will have to be built. Board members will also talk about obtaining a site for the proposed Heybourne water booster pump station on the pipeline between Minden and Carson City. The Minden Town Board meets in the CVIC Hall on Esmeralda Avenue.

Today's weather will be more of the same with sunny skies, a light breeze and a predicted high temperature of 85 degrees. Temperatures will continue to climb until Friday when they are forecast to peak in the mid-90s before cooling down again.
