Thanks for food donations in August and September

This community never fails to help.

As always our friends and neighbors have chipped in to help those with less during these hard times. In addition to those listed below we have received wonderful donations of fresh produce from the Carson Valley Garden Club members and Plant It Nursery's Plant a Row for your Neighbors program. We so appreciate your help.

Food donations received in August (in pounds) High Sierra Radio (270), Douglas County Public Library (141), farmers market (172), Lions Club (63), Mary and Chris Kuypers (19), Rite Aid (90), Mrs. Contrones (195), Gold Dust West (98), Julia Callahan (52), St. Gall Catholic Church (37), Russell's Mercantile (13), DAWG (26), Target (145), Christ Presbyterian Church (35), Carson Valley United Methodist Church (138), Alpine Search & Rescue (70).

As always we so thank those who prefer to remain anonymous as well as Raley's, Smith's markets, Scolari's, Walmart, Costco, Shell Country Store, and Gourmet Bakery.

If you have foods to donate, please call Kathy at 782-3711 to arrange a time or stop by the Carson Valley Community Food Closet at 1255 Waterloo, Gardnerville, while we're open from noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday to drop off whatever you can help with donate.
