Sparks basketball enthusiasts saw what is described as the cleanest and fastest game in the history of Nevada. Sparks was defeated by Gardnerville High but was not cowed. The contest was lightening fast from the kick-off. Just before the end of the period the Douglas contingent forged ahead and in a magnificent spurt won the contest - the last of the season - by the score of 45 to 32. The best of feelings prevailed after the contest, Sparks tendering to her successful rivals a banquet that was participated in by the team members and many of the visitors.

Nevada's legislative Internet site has a universal following. How else do you explain visitors from Malaysia, India, New Zealand, Lebanon, Singapore, Japan and a dozen other distant places? Or the 2,798 hits registered from users in the United Kingdom? The foreign visitor, who all logged on in the past month, are among the 25,000 to 30,000 hits record on an average day at the site - not bad for a place that didn't exist prior to 1997.
