The public is invited to attend the annual Douglas High School Spring Art Show, 6-8 p.m. Thursday, in the School Library.

Admission is free, and the show features award-winning drawings, paintings, prints, digital art, and ceramic pieces. Cookies made by the culinary students will be there.

As an added bonus, tour the newly installed Danelle Freitas Gallery in the 500 hall, where creative writing will host a Write Night in the Practical Assessment Exploration System program lab.

Freitas was a 2008 Douglas High School graduate, who played softball and was an artist before she died in 2023.
