The R-C Morning Report

A woman who was arrested for possession of a controlled substance is due to appear in district court this morning for a sentencing review. Danielle N. Cook was 20 years old when she was arrested in February with Cody Neubauer.

The National Weather Service is forecasting that the freezer door will be left wide open bringing very cold temperatures to the Carson Valley for New Year's weekend. Highs are expected to plunge below freezing on Thursday and Friday with lows in single digits to several degrees below zero. Temperatures could be even lower for the Valley if there's snowfall.

I have a feeling we're going to miss these balmy days of December, when the high will hit 44 degrees under partly cloudy skies and light breezes. Rain is coming Tuesday and then rain and snow on Wednesday. When the storm clears out the mercury falls out the bottom of the thermometer.
