Tree brings Christmas joy

This year again, Debie Bush and her staff at the Walker General Store have the Giving Tree up in the store to get gifts for children who otherwise wouldn't have a real merry Christmas. It is very easy to contribute to this wonderful effort -- just go to the store, take a card from the tree that has the child's name and their gift wish, buy the gift and return it to the store. On Christmas Eve, Santa will deliver the gifts to the children.

Debie, her staff, and many others work to make this happen for our local children. Please find the time to make your gift happen.

Basketball tournament

The annual Lion's Basketball tournament last weekend was a success and very well attended. On top of that, both the Coleville boys' and girls' basketball teams came out winners. The other teams participating were Big Pine, Lee Vining and Mammoth. Congrats to our athletes.

Christmas slowdown

Things are gradually slowing down for the holidays. I think that must be just so we'll all have time to Christmas shop. Get your shopping done early and enjoy the relaxed time ahead.
