Proceeds from a pair of raffles at Gina's Grooming in Gardnerville will benefit local pet organizations.
A brown rag quilt featuring dog caricatures and expressions ranging from "roll over" to "fetch" will be won by some lucky person who stops by Gina's at 791 Tillman in the Ranchos. Money collected from the $2 tickets will benefit Douglas Animal Welfare Group. The drawing will be held at the store April 30. Tickets can be purchased at the business through April.
The May 25 drawing benefits Safe Haven Animal Rescue. Raffle tickets are $5 each for prizes including a rag quilt and five visits from Pet Sitters Plus.
Gina's owner Gina Stanchfield hosts a pet vaccination clinic and car wash, 9 a.m. to noon, May 2. Dr. Lesli Hewitt of Quail Ridge Animal Hospital will administer the vaccinations.The car wash in Gina's Grooming parking lot benefits Tahoe Youth & Family Services.
