Register and audition

Open registration 3-7 p.m. Thursday for dance classes for tots through adults at the Performing Arts Project of Northern Nevada, 2556 Precision Drive, Suite E, Minden. One free dance class for new students in ballet, hip-hop, tumbling, pre-dance, jazz, tap, adult workout. Dance lessons in Genoa

Country western dance lessons offered Wednesdays at the Genoa Town Hall. Beginner class at 7 p.m. Intermediate instruction and open dancing until 9:30 p.m. Information, Tom or Donna, 783-0910.

Square dancing

Beginner square dance classes presented by Larry Ward begin with a free class on Sept. 29 in the Genoa Town Hall. Registration is Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27. Classes are 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesdays. Cost is $5 per person. Dance workshops are 8-9:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Information, (775) 461-0474.

Ballroom classes for teens and adults in Carson City

Registration and the first class of high school ballroom dancing is 7:30-9 p.m. Sunday at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 Carson St., Carson City. Cost is $6 per person. Information, Larry Ward, (775) 461-0474.
