The theme for the Carson Valley Photo Club's September contest theme was "yard art." Nancy Hulsey won first place with a picture she titled "The Condo." The second-place picture was taken by Carol Heinricy and third-place winner was Pam Brekas. Photos are on display at the Douglas County Public Library in Minden.
The theme for the photo club's October contest is "view from a window." Pictures must be 8-by-10 or 81⁄2-by-11 inches and must have been taken Sept. 8 to Oct. 13. You must be a club member to enter the contest, but you may join at the meeting.
The next meeting on Oct. 13 features guest speaker WNC photography instructor Doug Dils.
The Carson Valley Photo Club meets 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month at Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. New members and visitors welcome.
