The theme for the Carson Valley Photo Club's April photo contest was Spring Colors. Merry Muller's picture of tulips titled "Happy Birthday" won first place and her photo "So Many Daffodils" was third place. Carol Heinrichy captured second place with her picture "Daffodil Hill." The photo club's pictures are on display at the Douglas County Public Library in Minden.
Weather is the theme for the May contest. Entries must be 8-by-10 inches or 81⁄2-by-11 inches and must have been taken from April 14 to May 12. Send images to tlcimages@mail.com by May 5 with a brief comment about your photo concerns.
You must be a club member to enter contests, but may join at the next meeting, 6:30 p.m. May 12. The program includes a photo evaluation led by Ray Moore.
The club meets on the second Tuesday of the month at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane in Gardnerville. New members and visitors are welcome. Information, club president Pat Stanley at napapat7373@charter.net or (775) 392-0192.
