The R-C Morning Report

Genoa Town Board members recommended approval of a 25-foot right-of-way abandonment on Carson Street requested by property owners Ron and Ann Funk. More than 30 people both in favor and opposed to the abandonment attended the board meeting. Opponents of the decision didn't take the town board's action lightly.

Tonight in Minden, members of that town board will tackle the problems created by the failure of the Minden Gateway Center. The project on the corner of Highway 395 and 88 is becoming rapidly overgrown with weeds. Minden meets 6 p.m. in the CVIC Hall.

Today's weather is forecast to be mostly sunny with a high of 89 degrees. The same weather pattern will continue through the week until Saturday when the highs drop about eight degrees, with no otherwise discernable weather shift. We'll see what's causing that later in the week.
