Dawn Gibbons speaks at chamber luncheon

Speakers first lady Dawn Gibbons and Nevada Volunteers Development manager Janet Wright discuss volunteerism at the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce general membership luncheon, 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, at the Overland Basque Restaurant in Gardnerville.

Carson Valley has one of the highest volunteer rates in the state, yet citizen involvement was identified in the recent Community Assessment as an area that could see improvement.

The Nevada Volunteers representative gives tactics on how Valley nonprofits may leverage volunteer efforts.
