Cross Country: Pau-Wa-Lu, CVMS runners excel at home meet

Warm weather at Pau-Wa-Lu set the stage for a fast race in the desert among the

Tah-Neva league runners.

Pau-Wa-Lu's Lindsey Adams tied for first in the seventh-grade girls race, turning in a time of 15:36.

The Panthers had an exceptional finish as a team in the eighth-grade girls race as Mattie Seamans took third, Gabby Munoz took seventh, Sage Pintler took seventh, Maria Munoz took eighth, Kellie Hergenrader took 13th and Savannah Lowther took 14th.

Carson Valley's Jessa Gansberg continued to show her presence, finishing 10th overall among the eighth-grade girls.

Carson Valley's Connnor McKay surprised teammate Brandon Pankey in the eighth-grade boys race, edging him out in the final 1/4 mile. The two finished fourth and fifth respectively. Daniel Lampson and Parker Dixon were not far behind, completing the 2.25-mile race in places 11th and 12th.

Pau-Wa-Lu's Logan Lalonde (14th), Joe Staniszewski (16th) and Malcom Seamans (18th) also had strong finishes.
