The Rustlers play tonight, 8 p.m. to midnight. The Rustlers cover hard-core country music by Montgomery Gentry, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn and Dierks Bently. The Carson City-based band is Ev Musselman on guitar and lead vocals, Larry Goldman on bass guitar and vocals, Brian Williams on lead guitar and vocals, Jim Park on pedal steel guitar and Russ Hohenberger on drums and vocals.

Entertainment and Oktoberfest at CVI

Millionaire$ continue in the Carson Valley Inn Cabaret Lounge through Sunday and Major Link plays Oct. 20-25. Monday Night Football plays in the Cabaret Lounge on Mondays.

The Millionaire$ are Rick and Dana who perform top 40, classic rock and pop music.

San Francisco Bay area band Major Link is Terry Saunders on guitar and Mary Owens who play pop, rhythm & blues and rock 'n' roll.

Live entertainment presented with no cover and no minimum with five 45-minute shows starting on the hour at 7 p.m. Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and on the half-hour starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Monday Night Football in the Cabaret Lounge on Mondays with big-screen action, food and beer specials and prize drawings.

The CVI Cafe Cabaret is open 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sundays and 5 p.m. until the end of the third quarter on Mondays.

The Carson Valley Inn's annual Oktoberfest and beer tasting event is celebrated with German music by the Al Gruber Band and German food, 7-10 p.m. today, in the Shannon Ballroom. Prize awarded for the best German attire.

Bearfooting music opens concert series

The Carson Valley Arts Council kicks off its fourth annual concert series with Alaska Americana/bluegrass band Bearfoot, 7 p.m. Oct. 23, at the CVIC Hall, 1602 Esmeralda Ave., in Minden.

Bearfoot offers uplifting bluegrass ballads and foot-stomping tunes. Doors open at 6 p.m. with a no host-bar and hors d'oeuvres. Tickets sold at the door for $20 for nonmembers, $17 for members.
