Recordcourier.com was down between 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday. We have no idea what hit the site, but it hit pretty hard. The folks who maintain the site are looking into it.

It's going to be a busy Cinco de Mayo as meeting week begins with the Gardnerville Town Board at 4:30 p.m. The trash rate hike will be the big item on tonight's agenda. They'll also be working on their final agenda.

Then at 6 p.m. the Douglas County Parks & Recreation Board is scheduled to meet at the Douglas County Senior Center. Parks commissioners will be hearing a request to use county land across Pinenut Road from the Fairgrounds for a motocross track. That promises to be a bumpy ride as supporters of the animal shelter gather in opposition. At 7 p.m. Genoans meet to discuss Candy Dance and the final budget.

Cindy Olivas Trigg brings her campaign for Congress to Minden with a meet-and-greet event at Francisco's Mexican Restaurant 5-7 p.m. Trigg announced she was running for Congress on April 24.

The National Weather Service downgraded its high wind warning to an advisory at 3:51 a.m. While it will be a breezy commute for some, the advisory is scheduled to end at 8 a.m. We may still see a few showers this morning, but it will be a warm day, with the high predicted to hit 70 degrees.
