A graveside service is 1 p.m. today at East Line Cemetery in Bishop, Calif., for 10-year Gardnerville resident Vincent Stephen Bezilla, 81, who died June 13, 2009, in Carson City.
Born April 22, 1928, in Pennsylvania to Martin Vincent and Anna Marie Falcone Bezilla, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He married Lois Emmalee Curran Bezilla in Los Angeles, he was an operator in the baking industry. He lived in Canyon Country, Calif., prior to moving to Gardnerville.
Mr. Bezilla enjoyed watching cowboy movies and being with his family. He was a member of St. Gall Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife Lois; son Stephen Ralph (Julie) Bezilla; daughters Tina (Timothy) Scherer, Ladena Bezilla and Donna Bezilla; brother Stephen Bezilla; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A funeral service was Thursday at St. Gall Catholic Church. Burial will be at East Line Cemetery. FitzHenry's Carson Valley is in charge of arrangements.
