Obituary Gary Sabino

Gary Vincent Sabino, 44, died Feb. 5, 2002 at University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, Calif.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville.

Viewing will also be at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville from 6-8 p.m. Monday and at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. at the Happy Homestead Cemetery in South Lake Tahoe. A reception will then take place at St. Gall Catholic Church.

Mr. Sabino was born in Stockton, Calif., Dec. 9, 1957, to Vincent Sabino and Evangeline Catanio.

He graduated from Foothill High School in Sacramento, lived in Gardnerville for 11 years and then South Lake Tahoe for 10 years.

Mr. Sabino worked as a kitchen manager at Grand Central Pizza and Pasta in Gardnerville for 12 years.

In his free time, he could be found at the Carson Valley Inn and Sharkey's playing progressive poker and enjoying his friends.

Surviving Mr. Sabino are his father Vincent Sabino of Gardnerville; mother Evangeline Catanio of Stockton; brother Dennis Causing of Stockton; sisters Jennifer Tillack and her husband Russ of Gardnerville and Wendy Day of Dixon, Calif.; nieces Ashley Tillack and Nicole Causing; nephews Tynan Tillack and Marcus Causing; and grandnephew Kevin Sabino.
