A service was Friday at St. Gall Catholic Church for eight-year Gardnerville resident Charles F. Hill Jr., 63, who died June 6, 2008.

Born April 2, 1945, in New York to Charles F. Hill Sr. and Norma Marie Gradel, Mr. Hill graduated in 1967 from Plattsburgh University in New York with a teaching degree.

He moved to Gardnerville in June 2000 coming from Hollydale, Calif. He was a member of St. Gall Catholic Church.

Mr. Hill loved hiking, camping, and working in his yard.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother Norma Marie Hill of Gardnerville; sisters Peggy Cappaletti of Pomona, Calif., and Elaine Kyle and husband Mark of Kent, Wash.; nieces Robyn Young and Janice Stilwell; great nieces and nephews Melissa, Emily, Joshua and Jacob.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gall Catholic Church community food bank. Arrangements are in the care of Capitol City Cremation & Burial.

A visitation for native Carson Valley resident Delaney Kizer, 79, is 6-8 p.m. Monday at Walton's in Carson City.

Mr. Kizer died June 12, 2008 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.

Born Oct. 19, 1928, in Dresslerville to Martinez and Gladys Kizer, he enjoyed traveling and watching his sons and grandchildren participate in sporting activities.

Mr. Kizer was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Kizer and two daughters, Virginia Kizer and Marcia Lynn Kizer-Schurz.

Mr. Kizer is survived by sons; Mark, Walter and his wife Rose, Leroy, Delaney Jr., Craig and his wife Alicia, all from Dresslerville, Darrell, and Clayton Kizer and his wife Angelea from Stewart; and Matt Kizer and his wife Karen of Marin County; daughters Lenora Kizer of Indian Hills, Amelia and Minerva Kizer, both of Dresslerville; and numerous grand-, great-, and great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Dresserville Gym. Burial will follow at the Stewart Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley has been entrusted with his final arrangements.

A memorial service is 11 a.m. Monday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Gardnerville for Minden infant Hailey LaLone Walker.

Hailey died June 11, 2008. She is survived by her mother and father, Autumn and Jeremy Walker; sisters Mallory and Kylee; brother Tanner; grandparents, great-grandparents and many cousins in Nevada and Washington.
