The R-C Morning Report

People still looking for information about Carson Valley Days can find updates of the weekend's events in today's edition of The R-C, including a schedule of events and the parade route. There's lots of stuff to do tonight that doesn't entail hanging out on the sidewalks along Highway 395. Wait until Saturday to do that, when the traffic will be moving much, much slower, and the motorists are lobbing candy.

Two women who allegedly followed a delivery truck, picking up Christmas presents as they were being delivered will appear in Douglas County District Court on June 22.

Evelyn Yvette Aceves, 34, and Alisha Marie Ezelle, 40, appeared in East Fork Justice Court on Wednesday in connection with burglary and fraudulent use of a credit card charges. They waived a preliminary hearing and are scheduled to move on to district court.

Scattered thunderstorms and cooler temperatures remain in the forecast through the weekend, with highs falling below 70 degrees on Saturday. The chance of rain is locked down at 30 percent through Monday, so not as bad as earlier predicted. Nothing really starts before 11 a.m., so it should be nice for the parade.
