Updates on former Tiger standouts

Shawn Estes, P, Albuquerque Isotopes (Dodgers Triple-A): Estes is 3-2 with a 3.00 ERA on the year. He's started 10 games and has struck out 29 batters in 54 innings pitched. He took a loss against Oklahoma City on Saturday despite giving up just one earned run and striking out three.


Jordan Hadlock, fr., C, Cal Poly: Cal Poly was eliminated from the Tempe Regional by Kent State Saturday. Hadlock played in five games for the Mustangs, starting all five. He batted .214 with a double. He also caught three base runners stealing in 11 attempts and had a .962 fielding percentage.


Chris Honer, sr., P, Point Loma: Honer carried a 3.50 ERA on the year with a 6-0 record. He had 50 strikeouts in 72 innings pitched, walking 18.


Phil Mannelly, soph., IF, Feather River: Mannelly was named first-team All-Golden Valley Conference for his play during the season. Feather River went 42-5 overall and was ranked in the top 20 in the country. They won their third-straight conference title, their second-straight regional title and set a school record for victories in a season. Mannelly batted .373 on the year with 16 doubles, three triples, 35 RBIs and 19 stolen bases.


Cory Eilers, soph., DH, Feather River: Eilers is batted .250 with a pair of doubles and eight RBIs on the year.


Roman Davis, soph., C, Feather River: Davis batted .385 with a double and eight RBIs on the year.


Niko Saladis, soph., RF, Feather River: Saladis earned first-team All-Northern California honors and first-team All-Golden Valley Conference honors for his play this season. Saladis batted .394 on the year with 11 doubles, four triples, three home runs, 52 RBIs and 23 stolen bases.


Ryan Laing, soph., 1B, Pratt College: Laing hit 19 home runs of Pratt, becoming the school's all-time leader in the category. He also batted .400 on the year, carried a perfect fielding percentage at first base and was named to the Jayhawk West Conference first team.


Chris Balcom-Miller, soph., P/IF, West Valley College: Balcom-Miller was named the Coast Golden Gate Conference Pitcher of the Year and a first-team All-Northern California honoree. He finished the year with a 7-5 record on the mound and a 3.02 ERA. He struck out 106 batters in 83 innings pitched.

Brittany Puzey, sr., OF, Nevada: Puzey earned first-team All-Pacific Region honors after batting .356 with seven doubles, two triples, 12 home runs, 46 RBIs and 19 stolen bases.


Lauren Hoppe, fr., OF, College of Idaho: Red-shirting. The Coyotes advanced to the NAIA World Series in Alabama but were eliminated after pool play.
