Weekly update on former Tiger standouts

Shawn Estes, P, Portland Beavers (Padres AAA): Estes struck out three, walked three and allowed two earned runs in a win against Oklahoma City Monday night. He is 3-2 on the year with a 4.61 ERA.


Bryan Miller, sr., OF, Troy University: The Trojans split a doubleheader with Louisiana Lafayette over the weekend. Miller doubled in the winning run in the eighth inning during a 5-3 win. He is leading the team in batting average at .361 and has 23 doubles and 36 RBIs on the season. He also has a triple and five home runs this season.


Chris Honer, jr., P, Point Loma: Honer got the start in an 8-7 win over Cal Baptist but didn't get credit for it as his team rallied late with three runs in the last two innings. He has a 6-5 record on the year with 41 strikeouts and a 4.08 ERA.


Phil Mannelly, fr., IF, Feather River: Feather River swept a doubleheader from Siskiyous over the weekend to improve to 25-15 overall and 21-2 in Golden Valley Conference play this season. Mannelly is leading the team in batting average at .433 with five doubles, four triples and a home run. He also has 29 RBis and 11 stolen bases.


Cory Eilers, fr., DH, Feather River: Eilers is batting .267 with five RBIs and two stolen bases on the year.


Roman Davis, Rfr., C, Feather River: Davis is batting .235 at the plate and leads the team in fielding percentage at 1.000. He has allowed only one passed ball and has thrown out one runner attempting to steal a base.

Niko Saladis, fr., RF, Feather River: Saladis is batting .297 with three doubles, two triples and 22 RBIs. He's stolen 12 bases and has started 32 games for the Golden Eagles this year.


Ryan Laing, fr., 1B, Pratt College (Kansas): Pratt is 9-23 in conference play and 17-33 overall.


Chris Balcom-Miller, fr., P/IF, West Valley College: West Valley is 27-5 overall on the year and 18-0 in Coast South Conference play. Balcom-Miller is batting .227 at the plate with 13 RBIs and has 24 strikeouts in 19.1 innings pitched this season.

Kristy Olsen, sr., 3B/OF, Iowa State: The Cyclones dropped a pair of games to Texas Tech over the weekend, losing 6-1 and 4-3 in 10 innings. Olsen is batting .210 and has stolen 10 bases this year. She is among the team leaders in fielding percentage at .976.


Brittany Puzey, jr., OF, Nevada: The Wolf Pack is riding a seven-game win streak and has moved up to the No. 19 spot in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 poll. Puzey is batting .272 on the year with 12 doubles, one triple and four home runs. She has 20 RBIs and has stolen nine bases.


Kayla Dunn, jr., P/IF, Utah State: Dunn is leading the team in batting average at .379 with eight doubles, five home runs and 20 RBIs. The Aggies are 14-29 overall and 2-12 in conference play.
