Legos on display

View Lego creations at the Minden library through July 31. Winners announced today for the Lego Challenge, sponsored by the Friends of the Douglas County Library.

Make and play drums

Drumming up a good time @ your library, 4 p.m. July 28, at the Minden library.

Dragonslayers event

Create pebble pets or jewelry, play board games and compete on Wii during the Dragonslayers Teen Advisory Board's free teen summer reading event, 3-5:30 p.m. Aug. 7, at the Douglas County Public Library.

For ages 12 and older.

Snacks and drinks provided.

Smokey's birthday

Smokey Bear's birthday parties are 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Aug. 8 at the library. Meet Smokey and make ice cream in a can. Sign up by Aug. 7 at the library.

Story time in Lampe Park

The Douglas County Public Library hosts story time, music and crafts for children 3 and older, 10 a.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 26 in Lampe Park.
